SUMMARY:HPDE - Circuit Mont-Tremblant 2022 sponsored by HMS Motorsport
DESCRIPTION:The Boston Chapter is back for our 22nd Annual Boston Chapter Bimmers Across the Border XXII Driving School at the incredible LeCircuit Mont Tremblant and Tremblant Resort sponsored by HMS Motorsport. \n \nThe setting is the European-style resort village Mont Tremblant nestled in the splendor of the Laurentian Mountains; Mont Tremblant is located just 90 miles northwest of Montréal.\nThis is the perfect vacation getaway for the entire family. The driving enthusiasts’ have the world class racetrack and everyone else has a world class resort all within a radius of only 2 miles! Come early\, stay late\, and bring your friends… you can easily spend a week without getting bored. The area features fine restaurants\, shopping\, and over 100 miles of protected trails for biking\, skateboarding\, and rollerblading. There are two great golf courses\, an aquatics center and spa\, and a beautiful lake with a large beach. There are activities for the entire family. \nThe Track – This village is only 10 minutes away from the world class Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant. Built in 1964 in the shadow of the majestic Mont-Tremblant\, the picturesque and twisty 15-corner 2.65-mile track was completely rebuilt and upgraded in 2001. It is two meters wider all around with extensive runoff areas everywhere. Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant has been upgraded to meet FIA vintage Formula racing safety standards. If you loved the track before\, you won’t believe it now!\nSituated in one of the most gorgeous settings in the world for a race track\, the layout is a classic\, as it combines the natural topography of the site with elevation changes from the start/finish line\, to corner 8 and back again. The track is bordered by Lake Moore and Devil River (La Diable). \nPlease be advised that while the border is now open\, Canada currently requires travelers to be vaccinated to enter Canada.  We will be required to follow CDC\, State\, Canadian and Province guidelines\, which continue to evolve. \nVacations at a discount – Hotel Discounts \nOne of the sweet aspects of this event is the opportunity to take family and friends along for a value-priced vacation. Your hosts have negotiated unbelievable values on hotel accommodations right in the heart of the village available on a first come first served basis. Our special rates apply to the week before and the week after the event\, so don’t delay and book you reservation early – space is limited! Log on to www.boston-bmwcca.org for full details about this event.\nDiscounts:  BMW GROUP NUMBER: (TBD). SUMMARY:NEW EVENT- Ground School - Track Days/ Driver Schools\, Autocross and more @Palmer Motorsport
DESCRIPTION:New Venue with support of HMS Motorsport and Palmer Motorsports Park – APRIL 9th\, 2022 (9:30am to 1pm) \nIf you’ve ever wondered what its like to take your car out for a track day\, or what it takes to compete in an Autocross\, we have the perfect opportunity to discover how the Boston Chapter of the BMW CCA  hosts our events and how easy it is for you to get started. \nYou are invited to join us at Palmer Motorsports Park on April 9th for our annual ground school. Track day Driver Education and Autocross programs are some of our most popular in the BMW CCA and this event will use an interactive classroom session with the optional opportunity to participate in  parade laps to give an overview of what you can expect on track. Our long time sponsor HMS Motorsport will be on site to talk through safety equipment and Helmets in particular. HMS is headquartered in North Carolina but also has a location right here in Danvers MA. Check out their website for more information on their extensive involvement in all forms of motorsport and for directions to their store at www.hmsmotorsport.com. \nOur plan is to provide an overview of our driving events program with particular focus on Track Day\, Driver Education and Autocross. We’ll go through where events are held\, fundamentals of driver technique and how we coach them. We’ll walk through how to get ready for an event\, what your first event looks like and especially how addictively fun these events can be. \nPre-event registration is highly recommended with online registration at $35 per person and on site\, day of event registration at $50 per person. The day will start with a continental breakfast at 9:30am with the presentation session getting underway at 10am sharp. We should end the classroom session around noon and then HMS will provide a pizza lunch during which you can talk with the event organizers and instructors. The HMS team will have some of their safety equipment inventory on hand\, especially if you want to try on a helmet\, something very difficult to do on-line. Towards the end of the lunch period you will have the option to participate in some parade laps around the Palmer Motorsports race track. You are not required to participate in parade laps to attend the ground school but these will give you a flavour for what you can expect at a DE event.    Guests (18+) may be registered for $20 per person. \nParade Laps? Drivers (and their passengers 18 years and older) will drive several laps of the race track at reduced speed\, behind a pace car. No helmets are required. These parade laps will allow you the time to see the race track in it’s entirety while getting a feel for what a full on track day experience would be like. \nWho should attend? \nOur event is open to driving enthusiasts interested in becoming a better driver and learning about our 2022 Driving Events Season. This event is open to members of the BMW CCA as well as non members who can register to join the club at this MEMBERSHIP link or at the venue on the day of the event. Annual BMW CCA Membership is only $48. \nSpecifically drivers and guests will need a valid drivers license and be 18 years of age or older. \nCOVID Guidelines – Our current policy is that all attendees and guests present proof of vaccination at registration.  However as this situation evolves through the course of the year we will review this policy to determine whether a negative covid test for unvaccinated attendees may be sufficient.  \nPLEASE REGISTER AT THE LINK BELOW OR CLICK HERE.
