SUMMARY:Evolution Performance Driving School
DESCRIPTION:Thanks to the Boston Chapter of the BMW CCA\, Evolution Performance Driving School will be offering their autocross training program at Moore Army Airfield in Ayer\, MA on Saturday\, July 13th and Sunday\, July 14th. This program is great for any skill level\, from seasoned veterans to the complete novice.\nWhether you are new to autocross and want to learn the basics or a seasoned driver searching for a tighter line and faster time\, Evo School has a program for you.\n***Please note there is a separate $275 fee for each phase of the program***. \nEVOLUTION PHASE 1 DRIVING SCHOOL\nThis is the first step in autocross education and is required for the Phase two and Challenge Schools. The day-long course builds students skills level by introducing new ideas to improve one’s times. Students both ride and drive (using their own cars) with Evolution’s trained\, professional drivers (most of which are current or past National Solo Champions) to learn where they are fast and where they need to improve. A small student/teacher ratio insures quality instruction time.\nCombined with race proven skills\, concepts\, and techniques\, this course will improve the performance of all drivers on both the road and the track. Even experienced drivers benefit from the Phase 1 course as a refresher for those things they’ve forgotten over the years or perhaps never learned. No matter what type of car you drive\, the skills taught in Phase 1  will improve your overall driving abilities.\nNote: Two driver cars are welcome. Students will also be required to work course during part of the day.\nPhase 1\, hosted by Boston BMW CCA is offered on Saturday\, July 13th.\nRegister for PHASE 1 here. \nEVOLUTION PHASE 2 DRIVING SCHOOL\nBuilding upon the skills learned in Phase 1\, the Phase 2 Evolution Drivers School takes the driver into new areas of mental race preparation\, allowing the Phase 1 skills to be applied as second nature. Various driving exercises are conducted throughout the day to improve the driver’s visual and mental imaging of the course\, resulting in quicker lap times.\nThis course has proven itself to reinforce the importance of Phase 1 skills and transferring those skills to every autocross course you may encounter. The Phase 2 course design is not the same as used in Phase 1 and generally has higher speed sections.\nNote: Phase 2 students must first have completed the Phase 1 Program. As in Phase 1\, students use their own cars and two driver cars are welcome. As usual\, students will also be required to work course during part of the day.\nPhase 2\, hosted by Boston BMW CCA\, is offered on Sunday\, July 14th.\nRegister for Phase 2 here.\n  \nEVOLUTION CHALLENGE SCHOOL\nHave you taken Phase 1 and Phase 2? Have you got some autocrossing seat time under your belt and reached a place where shaving time on course seems to be impossible? Are you trying to keep up on your looking ahead and thinking ahead? The Challenge school is for you!\nThe Challenge school forces students to combine everything they have previously learned\, but on a longer\, quicker\, national style\, real world autocross course\, complete with quick slaloms and hard “shut downs”. Our goal is to drive home the Phase 1 and Phase 2 concepts and make sure you still are using them while increasing the length of time on course. In addition\, you will receive instant feedback and one on one training\, this time from a slightly different perspective. This school has different meaning for every person that takes it. Come with an open mind and the willingness to try things you normally would have left at home.\nWe want everyone to drive at 10/10ths and we will encourage it!!!\nChallenge School\, hosted by Boston BMW CCA\, is offered on Sunday\, July 14th.\nRegister for Challenge School here.

Payment for each event is due as soon as the PayPal request is received. Failure to pay within a reasonable timeframe will result in your registration cancellation so waitlisted drivers would be given an opportunity to participate. If you have to cancel an event\, please give us as much notice as possible so waitlisted drivers can have an opportunity to participate. There will be no refunds under any circumstances.\n\nFor more information\, please see Eligibility and Registration.\nEvent Management\nWe will have a new course for every event. However\, every driver will have a choice: New or casual competitors in either BMWs or other makes will be able to tech as usual. Or\, for more serious competitors there is a process which will lead to an Annual Tech sticker.\nIf a BMW driver wishes to qualify for the season’s championship within their respective classes\, they will need to complete and turn in an Inspection and Modifications Form (IMF). The IMF will need to be completed and brought to the first event. The IMF includes a full disclosure of modifications\, a calculation of points\, and intended autocross class.\nAutocross staff will give the car a tech inspection\, successful completion of which will result in a 2018 Tech Sticker. SUMMARY:Autocross Series
DESCRIPTION:The 2018 Autocross Series is open to Boston Chapter BMW CCA members. If you are not a member of the Boston Chapter BMW CCA\, you may join for only $48 per year. If you are a BMW CCA member\, you may add the Boston Chapter to your current membership.\nPlease be sure to read the rules prior to attending an event.\nRegistration\nThe charge for each Autocross event is $50.You must register for each event separately. After you are accepted for the event\, you will be sent an Acceptance email\, which will also contain payment details. The Boston Chapter will be using PayPal to accept payment for this event. Mandatory Drivers’ meeting starts ~ 8:00 am. Miss the Driver’s meeting\, and you cannot run.\nTwo run groups will again be the format for 2018.  We will have a half-hour lunch break and you will have the option to order (cash only) a sub for $8 and a soda or water for $1 the morning of the event.\nTech Inspections\nAll competitors will need to pass a Tech Inspection. However\, every driver will have a choice: New or casual competitors in either BMWs or other makes will be able to tech as usual. The morning of EACH event get into the Tech line and have your car teched. After you have your AnnualTech Sticker\, no further tech inspection will be needed for the season (we reserve the right to conduct random inspections). The only exception will be cars running R-compound tires which will require a wheel bearing check each event.\nNon-BMW drivers may also have their cars teched once and receive an Annual Tech Inspection sticker. No IMF form is required for non-BMWs.\nMeanwhile\, if you’re a casual autocrosser\, perhaps a first timer who just wants to come out and have a bit of fun and try the sport\, simply find your model and year on the “Model Grid”\, fill in the IMF\, register and show up. We’ll perform a safety inspection and you’ll be ready to go.\nClick here to get the Model Grid.\nSchedule\nThe 2018 schedule includes eight regular season events\, two Novice Autocross School\, and a 2-day Evolution Autocross School (in partnership with NER SCCA) and a Test and Tune. You will have to get points in at least 4 regular season events to qualify for a trophy.\nMore Autocross Series Information \n\nClasses\, Points\, and Trophies: Car classification\, season points\, and trophies awarded.\nEligibility and Registration: Driver eligibility\, event registration\, no-show policy\, cancellations\, and refunds.\nDay Of Event Information: Daily autocross schedule\, visitor policy\, tech inspections\, work policy\, and course assignment.\nDirections To Site: Directions to the autocross site.\nCar Classification: Determine your car’s autocross class.\n\nhttps://www.motorsportreg.com/events/boston-bmw-cca-autocross-points-event-3-devens-airfield-853389
