2018 Autocross Wrap-Up

By Audra Tella

The 2018 Autocross season wrapped up with our annual Awards Banquet on December 1st at the Aegean Restaurant in Framingham. Over 60 hardy revelers imbibed in a selection of delicious appetizers and a tasty Greek buffet. A good time was enjoyed by all with the highlight of the evening being the presentation of Class Winners Awards. In order to qualify for an award, a driver must complete four regular season events. The number of trophies awarded is based on the number of qualified drivers at the end of the season. One trophy is awarded for every three qualified drivers, with the number of drivers rounded up. For example, if there are 10 qualified drivers, four trophies are awarded.

In addition to class winners, we were also happy to present two special awards:

Driver of The Year

Boston Chapter BMWCCA

2018 AUTOCROSS SERIES

Dan Fillingim

Novice of The Year

Boston Chapter BMWCCA

2019 AUTOCROSS SERIES

Marcus Bush

We are excited for the 2019 season. We expect to have dates secured soon and will post them to Motorsportreg.com and Boston-BMWCCA.org once we have them.
