| | Welcome. First, wasn't BostonRob the guy on Survivor? We have a very strong autocross program. I suggest you check out the website (forum, event description, and event registration). We also usually host an autocross EVO school. This nationally known school sells out fast. There are usually about 8 autocrosses or so. Register early. We also have frequent car control clincs (known as Advanced Driving Safety Schools) and track events (HPDEs - high performance driving schools). Both are educational and fun. There are also technical sessions, such as the upcoming event at Schneller BMW in Newbury. Last, you'll find that the Boston Chapter has a bunch of good social events -- holiday party, concours, wine tasting, etc. If you haven't already, join the BMWCCA (www.BMWCCA.org) and designate the Boston Chapter as your home chapter. Again, welcome to Boston. Now bundle up -- it's cold outside (at least relative to AZ). Dan |

| bostonrob (2/25/2008) I really want to get into autocrossing. Ill do whatever it takes to get serious in it. I just need the help understanding how it all works. Thanx everyone.http://www.boston-bmwcca.org/EventDescription/2008/Autocross.aspx I suggest that you run some autocrosses in whatever class your car is currently in. By going to a few events and looking at the cars and times, you'll get a feel for what class you might want to end up in. Try to get into the EVO school, either this year or next. Try contacting the autocross chair or instructors if you want to chat about specific advice. There are come contacts here: http://www.boston-bmwcca.org/people/index.aspx |

Hi bostonrob; This is a fellow autocrosser from the Bston Chapter. Dan asked me to see if i could help you with anything. I love helping and teaching! Im an autocross instructor as well, so shoot! Im here to help....
For now, like Dan said, if you are not a member, go to the site and become one. Put down your new chapter as your home chapter....and WELCOME HOME!!
I can tell you 100% you WILL HAVE A BLAST with these group of guys. We love autocrossing and anything that involves BMW's. Check out some of the videos i have posted from last year under our chapter page...that will keep you warm
Let me know what you need help with and like i said, welcome to our home!
