I was able to make it around the oval in a AWD vehicle for the first time since November However except for the double width pass that the snowblower has made the snow is still really deep. The front straight looks as though it might make it before too many more days however between turns 2 and 3 the snow is about 2 feet deep and the bottom 4 or 5 inches is ice. He has gotten up over the hill with 1 pass so far. That will most likely melt off fairly well with the March sun except for turn 9 thru 10 and turn 6 that will be slow. The snow in NASCAR 2 to the exit of NASCAR 1 is almost 4 feet deep up near the wall that will end up being shoveled by hand in much of that area pit lane is 2 plus feet deep he has made a couple of passes there but it will be slow going. Snowbanks in the garage areas and infield are still well over 8 to 10 feet tall and they all have to be moved with the front end loader but the main focus is the track itself. I have looked at the 10 day forecast and it looks as though we will continue with a very slow melt as most of the days will be low to mid 40's. Given that, I feel that in all fairness we have no real choice but to cancel the 7th and 8th. You need time to notify your people. We will post it on the nhms web site today.

Bette[/quote]

I hope the White Mountain event on the 18th is OK. That's a lot of snow to melt. I've got the car all ready.... new control arms and tie rods, oil, plugs, rotors, pads, rebuilt a caliper. I'm so ready for Spring. :P

Lime Rock - 4 April (Friday) - NJBMWCCA

Hey guys and gals! Talk about elevation changes. There are three unweighted corners, one where you can see air under 4 wheels on a stiff car, and one where you can slide as far as you want to (at least). two carousels. very high speed corners. linked corners.

I'm going. I'm interested in caravanning. I've rented a garage (2 car area to share at the track) I can share if there is interest. It's a 12 hour drive. One vacation day to drive there. Memorial day to drive back.

And of course the nightlife in the middle of ohio is like nothing youve ever seen in the northeast.

it's through northern ohio chapter http://www.nohiobmwcca.org/

Northern Ohio Chapter
Mid-Ohio Driving School
Mid-Ohio Race Course, Lexington, OH
info & application: Harvey Rogers
330.655.2707 / harvbmw@aol.com
