It's actually a 530i.

The fuse box (fwd driver side eng compartment) has a cracked clear plastic top. Important functions (wipers, high beams, etc) are continually dropping out without warning. The torpedo fuses and the fuse holders seem to be loose and corroded to various degrees. Should I replace
- just the plastic top
- and all the fuses
- and the fuse box itself?
- Is there a more reliable box I can sub and do away with these old-timey fuse problems for the future?

Thanks,

Fred
