I was told I'm getting a soft "engine code" that one of my 02 sensors may be going. How do i go about identifying which one it is and should it be replaced now/ The check engine light is not on currently on.

Not all scan tools can retrieve shadow memory or " soft codes". If the tool can, it will tell you which sensor & what exactly the problem is with it relative to a signal short to ground, O2 heater circuit problem etc. So you need to ask the person scanning your car.

I generally don't replace things until I have a known fault accompanied by a significant error frequency.
