I'm competing in the June 22 AutoX.  I couldn't find the info online, but can my buddy ride with me in my car?  Only thing is I only have one snell 2005 helmet, other is out of spec, so might have to borrow another friend's who is competing.

Is a ridealong allowed?

I believe the answer is yes for autocross. (And not for driving schools.) Unless this is changed. The safest thing would be to contact the autocross chair http://www.boston-bmwcca.org/FormEmail.aspx?ID=christotinkov

You definitely need a helmet for anyone in the car.

Ride-alongs are allowed (and encouraged) at autocross events.  There are a very limited number of loaner helmets available, but providing your own is the most convenient option.

Ok cool.  Yea, I have a helmet and the buddies I'm coming with will probably lend one to my buddy for him to use if he rides with me.

Thanks for the replies.  I'm really excited about the June 22nd event.
