We're new to the area and I've been looking for a good detailer in the north shore to prep my X3 for the winter (although I'm getting a late start on that given all the snow we've already gotten). While I know there are a number of detailers in the area, I'd like to find some referrals/recommendations on good ones with whom people have some direct experience - I don't trust simply reading their advertisements in papers and magazines or on craigslist.

I did a search here and only found one recommendation for a place in Winchester that doesn't seem to be in business anymore.

So, anyone have any recommendations? I have the sapphire black metallic paint that is pretty soft and hard to work with, as I understand it. I usually wash and wax my car myself (with Zaino products) and never let anyone else lay a hand on it. I'm looking for a full wash, clay, minor swirl removal, and wax/sealant for the exterior and good interior cleaning (leather cleaning and vacuum, no carpet shampooing).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

This is the best person you can use:

Jim Miga - The Garage Valet 781-729-7567 jmiga@comcast.net www.jimmiga.net.

He will work at your home.  Did my '97 850Ci and did a fabulous job.  Details cars for the Larz Anderson Museum of Transportation.
